Come along to the next FREE WORKSHOP at Good Things Studios in Morecambe on the 18th Jan (Details at the end)

The idea for a Cuisine Zine has been fermenting in the recipe book of possibilities for over 2 years, and now the time has finally come, to make it!

We've loved this idea, not just because Cuisine rhymes with Zine, or because so many creative folk also work in the food biz, or because of the urge to highlight the Food Futures Network, who are a driving force, helping to grow sustainable, healthy food systems across North Lancashire.

We love the idea because food is vital and emotive, we all eat it, we all have food stories, a recipe, favourite dish, a nosh time traditions, and we all have food memories and tasty tales to tell from around the kitchen stove.

When we talk about our food stories they are steeped in our own personal history and family culture, and the stories we tell produce a glorious diversity of different tastes and flavours, likes and dislikes.

Wholesome and mouth watering recipes, dark tales of food nightmares and difficulties, but also beautiful stories, of delicious and comforting food cooked and shared together.

Do you have a story to tell? A recipe to share? A food inspired image to make?

Photos from the Cuisine Zine Workshops so far…

The workshop will provide everything people need to make an A5 page for the zine, drawing, word making & collage equipment, or you could bring your pre-made page page with you. There will also be chances to see the Risograph machine in action and find out more about the Riso Press.

The Zine will be formatted and printed during February and we'll be asking for volunteers to help print, fold & staple.

The Workshop is FREE but booking is essential.
